Welcome!
Eternity Labradors and Bulldogs is a hobby kennel operated in Galva, Illinois. Galva is located about 1/2 way between Peoria, IL. and the Quad Cities. We currently have many changes occuring here. After 10 years of breeding, training, raising, and showing Labradors, we are expanding our canine interests to include the English-style Bulldog. Many of our labs have been placed in show and/or pet homes as our interests and priorities as a family have changed and become more diverse. We are thrilled about the addition of a brindle female bulldog, Gypsy, who has captured the hearts of the whole family and a red/white male bulldog, Zeke, who we hope will one day be a champion. Zeke's debut in the show ring will be on 06/27/08 and we could not be more excited! Check back for updates throughout the year!
Experience
Although Eternity is a new name, we have been raising, breeding, showing, and loving labs since 1998. The name "Eternity" is meant to highlight our belief in Jesus Christ and His free gift of eternal life (See Free Gift page). Although Mom (Lisa) has a full-time career and the kids (Dane & Kayla) are involved in extra curricular activities in addition to school, we work together to care for our dogs and to ensure that they feel like members of our family. It's a labor of LOVE and that love is reflected in all our dogs. Over the years, we have typically bred 1-2 litters of Labrador puppies per year for the sheer pleasure of breeding show quality, intelligent, physically sound animals. All of our pups have been placed in loving show or pet homes where they have become cherished companions and family members. For the past two years we have been researching, asking, and learning about the breeding and whelping process for Bulldogs - which is FAR different than with labs. We hope to breed our first litter of bullies in the near future. We have learned a lot over the years about breeding, training, genetics, what the judges like, etc, but most importantly, we have learned that you can love a dog as much as you love a human.
Excellence
At Eternity we breed for intelligence, excellent physical characteristics, and good temperament. All Labrador stud dogs and bitches owned have had their hips O.F.A. approved at "good" or "excellent" and their eyes C.E.R.F. certified annually. Our puppies dewclaws are removed at 3-4 days old, they have had their first puppy shot and are wormed 3-4 times prior to leaving our kennel at 8-weeks-old. We have a written 26-month guarantee that covers hereditary hip, elbow, and eye disorders.
